The southbound lanes of the new Tappan Zee Bridge have reopened after a pre-dawn crash involving an overturned flatbed truck causes its closure for nearly four hours. The pre-dawn crash occurred near Exit 11 near the span to the Westchester-bound bridge span. Traffic was at a standstill stretching back to Exit 14 (Spring Valley). Motorists were advised to take the Bear Mountain Bridge or the George Washington Bridge until the crash scene was cleared just before 9 a.m.
