'SoccerFest' Organized In Leonia's Sylvan Park

LEONIA, N.J. -- The American Youth Soccer Organization is bringing its free SoccerFest to Leonia on Saturday, May 21.

The soccer clinic is for boys and girls from K-6. It's open to kids of all experience levels. There will be up to eight three-on-three games going at once, with new games every 20 minutes.

Kids do need to bring shin guards and wear soccer cleats or sneakers. Also, parents must hang out during the event.

There will be a snack bar and ice cream truck, and official AYSO gear will be available for purchase, in both kids and adult sizes. Folks will also be able to sign up for the 2016 fall season, whether players, coaches or volunteers.
