Leonia Middle School Organizes Career Night

LEONIA, N.J. — Leonia Middle School will have a career night Tuesday starting at 7 p.m.

Leonia students and parents will have the opportunity to meet with a variety of professionals.

The speakers are as follows:

  • Room 101 "Blinded Me with Science" — Mr. Richard Copp, Chemist & Leonia High School Science Teacher and Christine Park, Pharmacist.
  • Room 103 "Give Me Shelter" — Peter Pulice, Architect.
  • Room 104 "The Sound of Music"— Claudia Koal, music producer and Carol Skarimbas, singer.
  • Room 105 "We All Do It" — Wanda Pendelton, Marketer and Lisa Takeuchi Cullen, Writer.
  • Room 106 "Engineering the Future" — Society for Women Engineers — Pedro Gouveia, Project Management & Technical Systems Engineer at Procter & Gamble and Masroor Khan, Associate Engineer at Public Service Electric & Gas (PSE&G).
  • Room 107 "Law & Order" — Leonia’s Captain Scott Tamagny, Police Officer and Maria Perez Lu Lieber-Ust, Retired FBI Agent.
  • Room 109 Being "Your Own Boss" — Miguel Alfonso, Co-Owner of J. Bird Creamery and Chelsea Barbarini, Owner of Pooch Parlor and Sarah Abouaf, Assistant.
  • Vocal Music Room "What’s in the Stars?" — Dave Brody, Science & Technology Journalist.
