Officers Juan Guzman, Lavern Watson and Angela Tait were on patrol when they found the 28-year-old New York City man acting suspiciously on the south walkway, the authority's Joseph Pentangelo told Daily Voice.

They spoke with the man, who said he'd come there to jump.

They took him in to custody and an ambulance brought him to Bergen Regional Medical Center in Paramus for evaluation.

Less than 24 hours earlier, Guzman stopped another man -- who'd climbed over the railing -- from jumping.

Ten days ago, a Port Authority police officer tackled a suicidal 17-year-old girl as she ran to the railing looking to jump from the bridge.

Less than a week before that, a PAPD officer used a cellphone to intercept another teen bent on a GWB suicide.
