Ercheng Zhang of Fifth Street was released on a summons charging him with the unlawful practice of acupuncture following his arrest Wednesday, Molinelli said.

The charges followed an investigation by the prosecutor’s White Collar Crimes Unit, the Palisades Park police and the state Division of Consumer Affairs Enforcement Bureau.

Zhang “does not possess a New Jersey acupuncture license, nor has he ever,” Molinelli said.

A Central Municipal Court appearance is set for Monday.
