ENGLEWOOD, N.J. — Felix Pagán used to be the one laughing at yoga and pilates. That was before he became the general manager for Club Pilates in Englewood.

Compared to his twenty years of weight training, pilates didn't seem like a legitimate workout, but he changed his tune once he tried it.

"After pilates, I feel soreness in areas I didn't even know I could be sore and I can only get that type of soreness from Pilates," Pagán said. "Don't knock it till you try it."

According to Pagán, pilates is the number one most requested type of workout facility for the area.

He breaks down pilates users into three groups: people who supplement their workout with pilates, people who use it as physical therapy and people who do pilates every day.

With the growing demand, Club Pilates is hoping to expand into Bergen County including Fort Lee and Cresskill in addition to the newly establish Englewood location.

Club Pilates will open on 19 W Palisade Avenue in Englewood on April 29th.
