Leonia Police Hiring School Crossing Guards, With Benefits

LEONIA, N.J. -- The Leonia Police Department seeks school crossing guards.

Guards escort the street in designated school crossing zones Monday through Friday from:

• 7:30 a.m. to 9 a.m.• 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.• 2:30 p.m. to 4 p.m.

Starting salary is $15 an hour.

Top pay: $21.42 per hour.

Additional benefits are paid vacation, holiday and sick days.

Applicants must be able to pass a comprehensive background check, which includes fingerprinting.

Interested individuals must submit a completed application to Police Chief Thomas Rowe.

Applications may be obtained at the Leonia Police Department at 1 Wood Park off Fort Lee Road near the corner of Broad Avenue.
