The borough's proposed slashing of 25 percent from the library's budget drops its contribution from the anticipated $840,000 to under $615,000, reports northjersey.com.

Community backlash prompted Leonia officials to hold back the budget while other cost-savings measures are sought, reports northjersey.com.

A special meeting at 7:30 p.m. March 31 is planned in the Leonia High School's Little Theater to discuss the budget and long-term financial health of the community, reports northjersey.com.
