A juvenile complaint was sworn against the boy charging him with robbery and drug and weapons offenses, Valdes said.

The prosecutor released no other details about the incident “so as not to jeopardize the safety of persons involved or to jeopardize the investigation in progress,” she said.

Valdes said earlier Wednesday that her Shooting Response Team was activated to investigate the circumstances of the midnight shooting in the area of Carroll and Park Streets.

"No civilian or police officer was injured by gunfire," she said in a statement.
