YOU READ IT HERE FIRST: A Connecticut man came to Fort Lee Municipal Court to answer marijuana-related charges yesterday with pot, rolling papers and cigar-blunt paper, said Port Authority police, who arrested him.

Richard Thompson, 32, of Stamford originally was stopped and arrested ner the George Washington Bridge in May for having pot in a motor vehicle, driving under the influence and driving with a suspended license, the authority’s Joseph Pentangelo said.

Yesterday, his backpack was searched as part of standard procedure as he arrived at court to answer those charges, Pentangelo said.

Thompson was again arrested by the same officer — Steven Pisciotta, he said.

Authority police made a similar arrest at the Fort Lee court last December of a Union City man who stepped out for a few tokes and was found with a joint in his pocket ( SEE: Pot defendant arrested outside Fort Lee court — for toking up, Port Authority police say ).
