Eric Love, 50, of Schenectady was charged with grand larceny stemming from three incidents -- one on Jan. 23, the next on April 2 and, finally, on April 14, the authority's Joseph Pentangelo said.

In one, Pentangelo said, Love stole 52 fragrances worth more than $14,000 from the duty-free store in Terminal 4. Most recently, he said, Love took 18 Fitbit watches worth $3,898 from the Hudson News near Gate B20.

PAPD detectives determined that Love "purchased tickets and used that status to access the sterile area of the airport and commit the thefts," he said.

They spotted Love near Gate B23 in Terminal 4 on Tuesday and arrested Love, whose criminal history shows more than four dozen previous arrests.
