Police: 11½ Lbs Of Cocaine, 1,900+ Pills Seized From Lodi Couple's Home

LODI, N.J. -- A Lodi couple running a drug trafficking operation from their home had 11½ pounds of cocaine and more than 1,900 pills for sale when Paterson police nabbed them and a Prospect Park accomplice with help from the DEA, authorities said.

Simulataneous raids on a private house at the corner of Keasler Avenue and McGuire Place in Lodi and a North 10th Street apartment in Prospect Park turned up the cocaine, as well as Xanax (949 pills), Zolpidem (483) and Oxycodone (130), Paterson Police Director Jerry Speziale said.

Detectives also found more than two pounds of pot, 518 envelopes of heroin -- stamped "No Limit" -- and 64 Suboxone films, he said.

Arrested on various drug charges were Gabriel Mercado, 38, and Lizbet Quinines, 37, of Lodi and Angelina M. Rodriguez, 27, of Prospect Park.

Also seized was $5,630 in suspect drug proceeds for forfeiture, Speziale said.

All three were ordered held in the Passaic County Jail pending detention hearings.
