The crash in the northbound lanes at milepost 120.4 was reported at 1:14 p.m., NJ State Police Trooper Jeff Flynn told CLIFFVIEW PILOT.

The victim was pronounced dead 40 minutes later, he said.

The driver of the Mack Truck tractor — which, like the trailer, is from Indiana — remained at the scene, Flynn said.

The ramps from Route 80 and the express lanes south of Grand Avenue in Leonia remained closed indefinitely while State Police investigate, Flynn said.
