Patterson Woman Shattered Windows Near Sleeping Children, Sheriff Says

PATTERSON, N.Y. -- A Patterson woman is facing multiple charges after shattering a residential window that was in the vicinity of two sleeping children on Jan. 1, according to the Putnam County Sheriff's Department.

Andrea G. Soto, 24, reportedly went to the residence in Southeast after being involved in a verbal altercation on the phone with an adult at the home earlier in the evening, police said. 

Soto shattered the window and used a rock to damage a vehicle outside the home. She fled on foot before authorities arrived, but was later located and arrested, police said. 

Soto was charged with two counts of endangering the welfare of a child, one count of third-degree mischief, a felony and one count of fourth-degree criminal mischief. 

Soto faces up to four years in prison if convicted of the felony charge, the Sheriff's Department said.
