Pair Nabbed In $11,000 Stabbing Robbery At East Rutherford Hotel

EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. (UPDATE) – The accused getaway driver in a stabbing robbery at an East Rutherford hotel has been captured, authorities announced on Aug. 15.

Authorities said Kendrick Terrell Brown, 21, and two accomplices left the victim for dead with several stab wounds the afternoon of Aug. 6 at the Extended Stay America Hotel on Route 3, taking what sources told Daily Voice was $11,000.

EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. -- Bergen County prosecutor’s detectives captured two South Carolina men who they said stabbed a robbery victim, leaving him for dead, at an East Rutherford hotel.

Andrew J. Jefferson, 26, and Deshun Hill, 23, both single and unemployed, were being held in South Carolina pending extradition to New Jersey, Bergen County Prosecutor Gurbir S. Grewal said Friday.

Authorities accused the pair of accosting the victim just before 3 p.m. Sunday at the Extended Stay America Hotel on Route 3, taking what sources told Daily Voice was $11,000, leaving him with several stab wounds and fleeing south on the NJ Turnpike.

The vicdtim was taken to Hackensack University Medical Center for treatment of his injuries, the prosecutor said.

Jefferson and Hill fled to South Carolina, where Jefferson was arrested on Monday and Hill on Thursday, Grewal said.

Both are charged with attempted murder, conspiracy to commit murder and robbery.

An investigation was continuing, the prosecutor said.
