YOU READ IT HERE FIRST: A 28-year-old East Brunswick man whose body was pulled from the Hudson River a quarter-mile north of the George Washington Bridge late this afternoon jumped from the bridge after parking his sedan in Fort Lee, Port Authority police said tonight.

Police at first didn’t have a report of a jumper but subsequently spoke with a witness who said the man “walked up to railing, climbed over, and jumped without notice,” the authority’s Joseph Pentangelo told CLIFFVIEW PILOT tonight.

The body was brought to the 125th Street boat basin in Manhattan around 4:50 p.m. and taken to the New York City Medical Examiner’s Office, he said.
