ANOTHER CVP EXCLUSIVE: A Virginia Beach woman had a .380-caliber handgun with hollow-point bullets stashed under the passenger seat of a bounty hunter’s car when Leonia police stopped him for driving over the median from the express to the local lanes headed to the George Washington Bridge, authorities said.
Sgt. Robert Kennedy stopped the 2014 Black Hyundai near Exit 71 the night of April 25, Capt. Scott Tamagny told CLIFFVIEW PILOT this afternoon.
“There was heavy traffic approaching the bridge, and the driver cut through the median,” he said.
The driver, whose car sported police bumper stickers, showed Kennedy a bail enforcement officer’s badge, and the sergeant asked whether there were any weapons in the vehicle, Tamagny said.
That’s when Hannah Corbo, 23, turned over the Ruger LCP, he said.
Corbo was released pending a court appearance on charges of having the weapon and the ammo.
The driver received a summons.
