The Bergen Boulevard resident told police Robert Corbett of Neptune City ran off toward Fort Lee when she caught him in the car, parked in her driveway, around 6 a.m., Capt. Scott Tamagny told Daily Voice.

After police from both towns converged on the area, borough Officers Sihoon Chung and Anthony Mikatarian caught Corbett -- who was "found to be in the possession of property from the vehicle that he had entered," Tamagny said.

Corbett was being held on $5,000 bail in the Bergen County Jail, charged with car burglary.

Tamagny thanked Fort Lee police and also reminded residents to "keep their car doors locked and to immediately call the Police Department to report suspicious activity."
