‘Italian Chicks': Humor like mama used to make

Here’s a tip: Catch the wacky, clever, musically gifted “Italian Chicks” now before a larger venue scoops them up.

“We’re still laughing today,” Renee Meszaros-Parsons said Sunday, after the four Neopolitanas had a crowd of 300 roaring in Sayreville the night before.

North Jerseyans agree the gals are worth the trip to the Prime Time Comedy Club. Next time, though, fans can head east — to Puglia’s of Little Italy in East Meadow, Long Island. Three course-meal and a show on Nov. 19th.

Although all of the ladies shine in the casino-type show, the PILOT is proudest of its “Maisano Code” columnist, producer/headliner Maryann “Boom Boom” Maisano, of Fort Lee.

Guess which one’s Maryann?

“Best show I have ever been to! And I mean that sincerely,” said Renee Delio Woods after Saturday night’s performance. “I haven’t laughed like that in a very long time.”

The chicks were “so funny and original,” said David F. Suriano, who promised to bring more friends to the next show.

Gina Pappacoda-Scarda called the intimate venue “one big happy place.”

“Not one lag or unfunny moment, added Teresa Russo Ingrasciotta. “We laughed the whole ride home.”
