Glen Rock Boy, 16, Hospitalized With 'Dangerously High' Blood Alcohol Level

GLEN ROCK, N.J. -- Glen Rock police were investigating how a passed-out 16-year-old boy rushed to the hospital with a "dangerously high" blood-alcohol level got the booze.

Responding police and EMS found the boy unconscious outside an Emerson Road address just before midnight Saturday, Police Chief Dean Ackermann said.

The boy "was treated on scene by paramedics for acute intoxication and transported to Valley Hospital, where he was admitted with a dangerously high blood alcohol content," the chief said.

"Information concerning underage individuals being served alcohol by an adult was developed during this incident and turned over to the detective bureau for further investigation," he said.
