The first responding officers at the River Ridge apartments at 200 Old Palisade Road were met just after 1:30 p.m. by her husband, who told them his wife “had locked herself in her apartment after he had left to get their vehicle,” Detective Capt. Stanley Zon said.

“Emergency Services officers made a forced entry into the apartment and found the bedroom window open,” Zon said.

By then, she’d already jumped.

Another officer “witnessed the victim falling from the window,” the captain said.

An ambulance and paramedics were summoned to the high-rise (the former primary address of Jay Z and Beyonce), followed by the Bergen County Medical Examiner’s Office.

“Detectives are currently conducting a follow-up investigation as standard routine procedure,” Zon said. “The husband continues to assist with the investigation.”
