FORT LEE, N.J. -- Fort Lee police interrupted an alleged sexual assault, arresting a borough man who was ordered held on $200,000 bail.
Lenin Escobar, 41, was charged with two counts of sexual assault after the woman dialed 911 just before 10 a.m. Tuesday, Acting Bergen County Prosecutor Gurbir S. Grewal said Wednesday.
Escobar and the woman were brought to police headquarters, Grewal's Special Victims Unit was notified and a joint investigation leading to the charges followed, the prosecutor said.
Escobar, of Williams Street, remained held Wednesday in the Bergen County Jail.
