The officer were trying to arrest 34-year-old Leslie Bourne of Brooklyn for preying on unwitting customers outside the Terminal 4 parking lot last night when he rolled up his window, catching one of their hands inside, the authority’s Lenis Rodrigues told CLIFFVIEW PILOT this afternoon.

The other officer then bashed the window open to free his partner’s hand when Bourne hit the gas, clipping the officer whose hand was caught, Rodrigues said.

A chase ensued before Bourne ditched the car near 96th Street and Linden Boulevard and was caught by the NYPD, she said.

Bourne has a history of driving-related offenses, including leaving the scene of a crash, driving on sidewalks and traffic islands, fleeing police, resisting arrest and reckless endangerment, as well as assault, criminal mischief, trespassing and unlawful solicitation of ground transportation.
