Dump truck spills metal across Turnpike in Fort Lee

ALERT: Considerable delays for commuters near the George Washington Bridge were created this afternoon when a tractor-trailer overturned on the Turnpike north shoulder, dumping metal over the divider onto the southbound side

The truck keeled near mile marker 121 in Fort Lee just before 4:30.

Both southbound express lanes of the Turnpike were closed, along with a northbound lane.

The driver got out OK, said New Jersey State Police, who provided the photo, above.
