Detectives who were on a drug investigation spotted the bag after they stopped the gold 2005 Honda Odyssey – at which point the driver, 22-year-old Michael De Castro tried to stuff it under the seat, Acting Bergen County Prosecutor Dennis Calo said.

The cash was seized for forfeiture proceedings and De Castro was released on money laundering charges pending a Feb. 14 hearing in Central Judicial Processing Court in Hackensack.
