YOU READ IT HERE FIRST: A Bogota man whose car drifted from lane to lane approaching the George Washington Bridge in Fort Lee was drunk with his two young children sleeping in the back seat, Port Authority police said.
Domingo Cesar, 29, was charged with DWI and child endangerment after police pulled over his black 2013 Ford in the eastbound bus slip lane before the lower level tolls around 2:30 a.m. yesterday, the authority’s Joseph Pentangelo said this morning.
“The officer speaking to him detected a strong smell of alcohol,” Pentangelo said, adding that Cesar also had bloodshot eyes.
Sleeping in the back seat were a 9-year-old and 5-year-old, he said.
All three were taken to the authority’s GWB administration building nearby after Cesar failed a roadside sobriety test, Pentangelo said.
A family member took custody of the children, he said.
