No Foul Play In Death Of Palisades Park Man Found Along Hudson In Fort Lee

FORT LEE, N.J. -- A 26-year-old Palisades Park man whose body was recovered Thursday morning from the shoreline at Ross Dock along the Hudson River in Fort Lee apparently fell to his death in the river, Palisades Interstate Parkway police said Friday.

The Bergen County Sheriff's Bureau of Criminal Identification matched fingerprints to identify Tae W. Kim, PIP Police Chief Michael Coppola said.

Kim's death :was consistent with an elevated fall [from] a bridge or overpass into the Hudson River," Coppola said. "A cause of death is to be determined[. H]owever this case is not suspicious."

Kim was wearing running clothes and sneakers when someone found the body in the south picnic area and summoned police at 11:15 a.m. Thursday, Coppola said.

Port Authority police said they didn't have any reports of unaccounted-for jumpers from the nearby George Washington Bridge.
