ONLY ON CLIFFVIEW PILOT: Priyanka Patel of Wood Ridge and Farah Namissa of Dumont have done something that their fellow Bergen County students at the University of the Sciences in Philadelphia haven’t: Once again, the doctor of pharmacy students ended up on the Dean’s List.
Joining them on the list are fellow pharmacy students Yilun Ding of Fort Lee, Ronny Krejci of Elmwood Park, Caitlin DelFavero of Hillsdale, Mital Patel of Saddle Brook, and Paul Caceres of Teaneck.
Namissa, Class of 2012, is vice-president of the student chapter of the American Pharmacists Association. The group is celebrating American Pharmacist Month.
To make the Dean’s List at the Philadelphia school, a student must complete and pass all assigned courses, with no grade below a “C” AND achieving a cumutive 3.4 for courses taken in the Summer 2011 semester.
According to the school’s website:
“At University of the Sciences, students embark on a challenging learning experience in a proving ground for successful professionals in the science and healthcare-related fields. A private institution dedicated to education, research, and service, and distinguished as the nation’s first college of pharmacy, the University has produced leaders in the science and healthcare marketplaces since its founding in 1821. Students in USciences’ five colleges learn to excel in scientific analysis and to apply their skills to improving healthcare in the lives of people worldwide through such disciplines as pharmacy, biology, physical therapy, healthcare business, and health policy.”
