2 Pedestrians Hit By SUV In Tenafly Hospitalized, Police Seek Witnesses

TENAFLY, N.J. – Two women were hospitalized with non-critical injuries after they were hit by an SUV in Tenafly early Wednesday, police said.

The women were walking east across Knickerbocker Road at West Clinton Avenue when the 2015 Honda CRV – headed in the same direction -- hit them as the 62-year-old Tenafly driver tried to make a left turn onto northbound Knickerbocker around 8 a.m., woman, Capt. Michael deMoncada said.

Both women were taken to Englewood Hospital and Medical Center, he said.

The driver “remained on scene and was cooperative,” the captan said.

No summonses were immediately issued, deMoncada said, adding that an investigation was continuing.
