Services Set For Wallington's Sylvia Lubak, 26, Found In Hackensack River

Services for Wallington's Sylvia Lubak have been set.

Visitation will be Wednesday from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Warner-Wozniak Funeral Home. A Funeral Mass will be Thursday at The Most Sacred Heart of Jesus Church in Paterson followed by a private cremation.

The 26-year-old's body was found Sunday in the Hackensack River and identified by Bogota Police on Monday, authorities told Daily Voice.

Lubak was born in Poland and moved to the U.S. in 2000 when she was eight years old.

She graduated from Becton HS, East Rutherford, Class of 2010, and then attended NYU. 

Lubak had been living in Bogota when her body was found on Feb. 11, Bogota Police Detective Victor Negron said.

She is survived by her parents, Bogdan and Renata; her maternal grandmother, Janina Kulawczyk; and paternal grandfather, Jan Lubak; as well as many aunts, uncles and cousins.
