Sarah D'Alberti, 89, Of Fort Lee

FORT LEE, N.J. -- Sarah D'Alberti, of Fort Lee, died on March 6. She was 89.

D'Alberti was born on June 8, 1927 in Petralia, Sottana, Italy. She was a Professor of Comparative Literature and Italian for the City University of New York. She also served as Chairperson of the Italian Department.

Devoted mother to Dr. Claudio F. D'Alberti and Dr. Patricia M. D'Alberti. Adored grandmother to Tania D'Alberti-Reemsnyder and her husband Tres, Claudio A. D'Alberti, Sara Brescia, Andrew D'Alberti, and Haley Brescia. Cherished great-grandmother to Tate D'Alberti-Reemsnyder.

Funeral services will begin from the A.K. Macagna Funeral Home 495 Anderson Avenue Cliffside Park, on Saturday, March 11, at 10 a.m. followed by mass at Madonna R.C. Church on the Hill in Fort Lee at 11 a.m. Entombment to follow at Madonna Mausoleum in Fort Lee. 

The family will receive their friends Friday 4-8 p.m.
