LEONIA, N.J. — Rocca (nee) Simone Accettura of Leonia died on Dec. 1. She was 95.
Born in Sannicandro di Bari, Italy, she came to the United States in1954. Before retiring, she had worked at Coler Memorial Hospital in New York City for over 30 years.
Rocca resided in Leonia for the past 31 years where she belonged to the Leonia Retirement Association.
She is predeceased by her husband Leonardo Accettura and son-law Charles Vassallo.
He is survived by daughter Lucrezia Vassallo; daughter Maria and her husband William Grohskopf; and son Giovanni Accettura. She is also survived by many grandchildren, great- grandchildren, nieces, nephews, family and friends.
Funeral arrangements were handled Dec. 4 by the A.K. Macagna Funeral Home, Cliffside Park. A funeral mass followed at St. John R.C. Church in Leonia. Entombment was at Madonna Cemetery in Fort Lee.
