FORT LEE, N.J. – Ralph A. Salemme, 86, of Fort Lee, died Saturday, Oct. 17.
He was a hairdresser by trade but was always ready to try his hand at new things. He was a successful real estate sales person, an artist, a cook and an avid gardener. He loved reading and always was eager to share his talents with those he cared for. He served in the U.S. Navy and was a longtime parishioner of Our Lady of Grace Church, having served as an usher for many of those years.
He was the son of Philomena and Nicholas Salemme; husband of Ann (neé Stanzione), his wife of 63 years; father of Nick Salemme (Bernadette); Mariann (Richard Kraus); Carolyn (Paul Mazza); and Lawrence Salemme; grandfather of six; and uncle to many nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by one brother.
