Alice Lorrain Madorran, 80, Of Palisades Park

PALISADES PARK, N.J. -- Alice Lorrain Madorran, 80, of Palisades Park, died Oct. 4. 

A native of Brooklyn, she moved to Palisades Park in 1967. 

After leaving a glamorous career in New York City to become a stay-at-home mom, she became a well-known fixture in town, donating her time to the Lindbergh PTA, Girl Scouts, the Board of Education and the Recreation Commission before returning to the work force in 1988, first in the pool office and then as Borough Registrar and secretary to the Board of Health. 

She is survived by her husband, Albert Madorran; children, Michelle and Brian Mackey and Jean Marie and Ken Harner; grandchildren, Brian and Megan Mackey, and Emily and Gregory Harner; and siblings, Pearl McGivney and Ruthann O'Donnell.  

A memorial service will be conducted at 10 a.m. Monday at Volk Leber Funeral Home, 789 Teaneck Road, Teaneck. Inurnment will be in George Washington Memorial Park in Paramus.
