Video: Tower Climber's 'Message To Mr. Trump' Says He's A Supporter

A day before climbing Trump Tower, Stephen Rogata from Virginia posted a YouTube video telling why he was doing it -- and urging people to vote for Donald Trump.

"I'm an independent researcher seeking a private audience with you to discuss an important manner," says Rogata, using the handle "Leven Thumps," after the children's fictional character (click the video above).

The NYPD confirmed that Rogata was the climber and made the video.

In "Message to Mr. Trump (why I climbed your tower)," he guarantees Trump that "it is in your interest to honor this request.

"Believe me, if my purpose was not significant, I would not risk my life pursuing it.

"The reason I climbed your tower was to get your attention.

"If I had sought this via conventional means, I would be much less likely to have success, because you are a busy man with many responsibilities."

He then said he would "Get my contact information to your campaign, so that if you are interested you can respond."

He asked viewers to share the video -- and to "be sure to get out and vote for Mr. Trump."

NYPD emergency services officers snatched him off the side of Trump Tower just after 6:30 p.m., nearly three hours after he began climbing it using large suction cups and nylon straps.
