PALISADES PARK, N.J. — The borough of Palisades Park has purchased a skid-steer to assist with snow removal and other public works projects.
"The skid-steer will allow us to do snow removal more efficiently and quickly," Deputy Borough Administrator Austin Ashley said. "It is going to be a massive help."
The $51,709 New Holland loader comes equipped with a snow blower and 84-inch low profile bucket. The borough also has two large plows and six pickup trucks to assist with snow removal.
During the summer months, Ashley said the skid-steer can be used by DPW as a forklift and for landscape work.
The borough council passed a resolution to purchase the machine on January 26. It arrived February 11.
