The silvery Gambusia fish -- barely and inch or two long -- feed on mosquito larvae.
The annual release -- this time at Samuel Nelkin County Park on Rose Street -- "is an environmentally friendly practice used in tandem with other methods to control the mosquito population and prevent mosquito-borne illness," Tedesco said Monday.
It's part of the "Bergen Bites Back" program.
