David O'Hanlon, a second grader at Hillside School, was diagnosed with b-cell lymphoblastic lymphoma in January after having a tumor removed from his cheek.

David's dad, John, has been disabled and unable to work for over two years. His mom, Lisa, has had to stop working to be the full time care giver for him.

Susan Carpenter, a teacher in David's school, is also battling cancer.

David will be going through chemotherapy treatments for two years, with many clinic visits and hospital stays.

"This is a battle the whole family will be going through — from being so sad, to being so angry that our child has cancer," said page organizer Alfred Baffa, who also launched a YouCaring page for Carpenter.

"There are so many worries and, unfortunately, the worry of hospital, clinic and medicine expenses way heavy on our mind."
