Volunteer candidates must be approved by the library director, be 14 years of age and be respectful of their supervisors and library policies.
A maximum of 40 hours per academic year and one or two hours per day are permitted.
Volunteers will receive a letter of recommendation after completing their hours. Records will be kept for one year after completion of service. Letters will not be given after the records have been discarded.
A supervisor will determine if it is of mutual best interest for a volunteer to continue after a six-hour probation period.
