The Fox business reporter and anchor turns 53 today.
Claman, who was born in Beverly Hills, Calif., to Canadian parents, attended UC Santa Cruz, but graduated from UC Berkeley with a degree in French.
She started in television as a production assistant at KCBS-TV in Los Angeles and got her first one-air reporting job in Columbus, Ohio. She also had a morning talk show in Cleveland and was a weekend anchor in Boston.
In 1998, she joined CNBC as a freelancer, working out of Fort Lee, N.J. and in Englewood Cliffs.
A published author, Claman joined the Fox Business Network in 2007.
The avid runner and skier lives in the borough of Edgewater with her husband, Jeff Kepnes, an executive producer for CNN, and their two children.
