Realtor Lance Maiden was recently named to the Fort Lee Regional Chamber of Commerce Board and last year launched the growing Facebook community, "Enjoying Bergen and Hudson Counties."

The page, which has more than 550 members, provides information on events going on in the Bergen and Hudson counties.

Maiden said that by sharing positive involvement through the Chamber's Facebook page and his own social media and video work, he can help intertwine "positive happenings" throughout the region and the Town of Fort Lee.

“I am glad to be the liaison between my office and the Fort Lee Regional Chamber of Commerce," said Maiden, a realtor with Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage. "In this position, I'm able to help share information with the other Coldwell Banker staff and also help promote additional community involvement.”

Maiden served in the U.S. Air Force from 1986-1990 and was stationed at Nellis Air Force Base in Las Vegas.

"I'm a third-generation veteran," he said. "My father served in the U.S. Army, and my grandfather served in the U.S. Navy during WWII."

He is a member of the American Legion, Little Ferry Post 310 and North Jersey Team Red, White, Blue (TeamRWB) and is always supporting the efforts of the Bergen County Office of Veterans Affairs.

"One of my goals as a new board member and also being a USAF veteran is to encourage more community involvement and for the Chamber itself to be more involved in veteran's activities," he said.

Maiden is a "Smart Home Technology" Certified Realtor at Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage, which is owned by NRT LLC. He'll soon be moving to a new office in Fort Lee's Hudson Lights.

The Fort Lee Regional Chamber of was organized in 1950 to advance the economic, civic and cultural welfare of Fort Lee and the surrounding communities. About one-third of its members are based outside of Fort Lee.
