Allendale Steakhouse, Allendale

What Makes It A Cut Above: Steaks are USDA Prime and dry-aged for 35 days (the purveyor is Strassburger Meats). The restaurant's chef has 25+ years experience from working at Peter Lugers to Benjamin Steakhouse, and Wolf Gang, before he decided to bring his expertise to New Jersey.

The steaks are known for being very tender (as in you don't need a steak knife to cut through!). The three-year-old restaurant, a past winner for "Best Steaks" from 201 Magazine and Bergen Health & Life is also well known for its special seasonings.

An added bonus: the steakhouse is BYOB.
