LEONIA, N.J. -- The Players Guild of Leonia will hold auditions for “Theatre on the Edge,” a program of short, modern plays that will be performed in January.
Theatre on the Edge auditions will be held in three morning sessions: Sunday, Nov. 15; Saturday, Nov. 21 and Sunday, Nov. 22 -- all at 10:30 a.m. in the company’s resident performance center, the Civil War Drill Hall at 130 Grand Ave.
All are invited to audition. More details about the plays will be included in the guild's newsletter, "The Prompter," and posted on its Facebook page. The plays include dramas and comedies, with parts for older and younger men and women.
They are "Deaths-Head Revisited" (from The Twilight Zone); three short plays by Christopher Durang: "For Whom the Southern Belle Tolls," "Funeral Parlor," and "Canker Sores and Other Distractions;" and lastly, "A Day for Surprises" by John Guare.
All are welcome to monthly general meetings. The next meeting will be held Thursday, Nov. 19 at 7:30 p.m. in the Civil War Drill Hall. For more information on The Players Guild of Leonia, call (201)-947-9606 or click here.
