HACKENSACK, N.J. — Firefighters saved 13 ducklings from a Hackensack Avenue storm drain on Tuesday, authorities said.

A woman who spotted the mother duck in distress called for assistance, bringing the Hackensack police and fire departments to the scene, firefighters told Daily Voice.

Members of Engine 5 2nd platoon assisted in removing the babies before reunited them with their mother, sources said.
