HACKENSACK, N.J. -- Who can resist the cozy booth of a diner? If you’re not drawn in by the often retro ambiance, you’re no doubt driven by the menu, mammoth undertakings filled with pages and pages of comfort food, not to mention unlimited cups of coffee.

Known For: Its menu that spans the globe -- from Southern-style dishes like Shrimp, Cheddar Grits and Eggs to Thai-inspired food like Pad Thai Chicken Egg Rolls to Mediterranean dishes to American favorites like burgers and shakes to specialty menu items like rotisserie chicken, Jack Daniels pork chops and pistachio crusted salmon, items not found a standard diner menu. The eatery is also known for its gigantic salads.

Behind the Scenes: The decor is "classic chic," decorated with a whimsical MacKenzie-Childs black and white checkerboard motif. The diner is true to its name -- encouraging "chit chat" with Table Topics ice breakers on every table to help get the conversation started.
