Allendale Eats, 101 West Allendale Ave., Allendale, (201) 825-0110

Number of Soups Offered: Chicken-noodle soup is served every day while other seasonal options rotate on a monthly basis. Soups offered this winter include vegetarian split pea, chorizo and kale (new!), cream of mushroom, ham and butterbean, cilantro and chicken... and more!

Worth Dishing About: Chris Rock and Jerry Seinfeld filmed an episode of "Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee" at Allendale Eats. Seinfeld had oatmeal and Rock had a chicken salad sandwich, co-owner Denise Kimball said. The funniest part of the show was perhaps when the two got stopped by police for speeding in a 1969 Lambourghini Miura on Route 17 in Ramsey, said Kimball, who runs the place with her son, Kyle Cauwenberghs.
