Palisades Park PTA Raises Funds For Make A Wish With Fall Festival

PALISADES PARK, N.J.– The Palisades Park Parent Teacher Association is holding a Fall Festival fundraiser on Oct. 15.

Admission is $25 and includes food and drinks, movie night, unlimited access to seven inflatables, face painting, dancing and Hula Hoop contests, a basketball shootout, three-legged races, potato sack races, a tricycle relay and a pie eating contest. 

Children 3 and under get in free. Families of four or more will receive reduced admission – $20 per person – if tickets are purchased in advance. 

There will be a raffle for four, one-day park hopper passes to Walt Disney World valued at $620. Raffle tickets are $5 each. 

There is a $1 donation for carnival games. All proceeds from the games and a portion from the event will be donated to the Make A Wish Foundation in memory of Harold Wrightington, according to organizers. Wrightington died at age 12 on July 4, 2008. 

There will also be an interactive character experience – including photo opportunities – with characters from the "Star Wars" movies. 

Outback Steakhouse will provide the food. 

The event starts at 2 p.m. and takes place at Lindbergh School Field, at 401 Glen Ave.

In the event of rain, the festivities will be held inside the Palisades Park High School gym. 

There will be a movie – "Star Wars: The Force Awakens: – and popcorn from 7-9 p.m. 

The event is sponsored by the Palisades Park PTA, and the Palisades Park Korean Parent Group.
