LEONIA, N.J. — Members of the New Jersey Symphony Orchestra Chamber will perform Saturday at the Leonia Public Library.
“Musical Conversations” is a special duet that begins at 2 p.m. and features Frank Foerster, principal violist, and Adriana Rosin, a leading first violinist.
Foerster has been principal of the orchestra since 1988 and has performed with the Berlin Philharmonic under Herbert von Karajan and the New York Philharmonic under Leonard Bernstein. He performed Bartók's Viola Concerto with the orchestra under the baton of Zdenek Macal.
Prior to joining the New Jersey Symphony Orchestra as a leading first violinist, Rosin held the concertmaster position with the National Orchestral Association of New York in concert at Carnegie Hall for two years and was assistant concertmaster and soloist with the New York Symphonic Ensemble for nine years, performing at Alice Tully Hall and throughout Japan and the Far East.
The concert is free and light refreshments will be served.
