FORT LEE, N.J. -- The iPic Theaters is set to open in July and will play host to the annual Fort Lee Film Commission's annual High School Student Filmmakers Festival.

The contest is co-hosted by the Jersey Filmmakers of Tomorrow Bergen County High School Student Film Festival and the Fort Lee Film Commission.

Deadline for return of entry forms is July 1. Films must be sent by Oct. 1. The finalists screening and awards ceremony is scheduled for Saturday, Nov. 5 at 2 p.m. at the upcoming iPic Theaters of Fort Lee.

The theater is one of the event sponsors. Other sponsors include Fort Lee Suburbanite, Fairleigh Dickinson University, Sirk Productions, Downtown Community Television (DCTV) and the family of actor and New Jersey native James Gandolfini.

The JFOT Best of the Fest Award is named in honor of James Gandolfini.
