Leonia's Flutist Lisa Hansen In Concert Today In New York

LEONIA, N.J. — Flutist Lisa Hansen from Leonia performs as a soloist on Valentine’s Day with a chamber orchestra on New York City.

Robert Martin's “One Year the Milkweed” with the Grammy-nominated North/South Chamber Orchestra. This concert is part of the 2016 Composers Now Festival held annually in NYC.

Martin's piece, which was inspired by Arshile Gorky's painting of the same name, features a beautifully haunting alto flute movement.

The concert is 3 p.m. at Christ & St. Stephen's Church, 120 West 69th St. (between Broadway and Columbus). Click here for more information.
